Coaching industry is the second-fastest-growing sector in the world. It is impossible to underestimate it. However, some people are not aware of the definition of typical coaching session.
“Coaching session is about performing at your best through the individual and private assistance of someone who will challenge, stimulate and guide you to keep growing.”
Don’t Wait for Answers
Coaching is results-oriented. A mentor will take you from point A to point B, whereby point B is your destination. A coach does not direct you or give the solution. He is not an expert in what your profession, your field of knowledge is. He is an expert in asking powerful, challenging, and curious questions. The questioning of life that humans don’t dare to ask themselves.
Important to understand that he does provide a safe space for the client to open up, build rapport. Is non-judgemental. Number one trait though is listening, with the ears, the body and the soul. He would be fully immersed in its client’s agenda.
How Does a Coaching Session Look Like?
The client will be guided through a detailed process beginning with the need to re-evaluate present position, who they really are, where the priorities lie, and the need to make a definite and conscious decision about the future they would like to create. With the help of a personal coach the client really can re-shape its life, overcome all the obstacles and live the life that they love.
It is a conversation, whereby at the end of it, the client will come out with an action plan.
The coach will take the client accountable, and make sure to cover any obstacles along the way. Be there if the client has setbacks.
It us is a journey to self-discovery. Therefore, only one session is not enough.
Whilst coaching session is not therapy and does not heal the past. It will allow the client to uncover its misbeliefs, dig deeper to understand, focusing on the future.
Humankind does have all the answers in themselves, the power and wisdom. It is a matter of using them skilfully. We do assist in this process with questioning skills and empower the client to take charge of their life, be resourceful and resilient.
Coaching is MAD – makes a difference.
